You've probably seen them before — the diving cylinders with a green and yellow band labeled “NITROX.” Nitrox is air with a higher oxygen content and therefore a lower nitrogen content. This means your body absorbs nitrogen more slowly compared to regular air during a dive. As a result, your no-decompression limits are longer, diving under the same conditions becomes safer (due to lower nitrogen absorption), and many divers report feeling less fatigued after diving with Nitrox compared to regular air. That means more time underwater, especially during repetitive dives — more time to enjoy the beautiful underwater world.During the course, you’ll learn how to dive with an increased oxygen percentage (up to 40%). This specialty course covers the basics of the necessary equipment and teaches you how to fill a Nitrox tank. We’ll also discuss the medical aspects of diving with Nitrox.
